A Brutal Agenda

This is the page for the band A Brutal Agenda. A.k.a. AbA. Provided that you wait for it to load, you're listening to AbA's version of rockin in the free world, originally by Neil Young. AbA is a band formed and gigging in Minnesota and Wisconsin. AbA is currently writing new original material. Barry Paul is also currently working on, yet, another solo album as well as writing for AbA. AbA is fresh off a long break and all members insist that this break was solely for the purpose of writing new material and to be better prepared for complete global domination with their new line up. AbA would like everyone to know that this hiatus was part of a grand scheme to be the best band of all time.

AbA is a surprisingly tight band with surprisingly unsimilar tastes in music. The members all feel lucky to be in a band that is playing the music it is though. A lot of bands are formed on the whims of one or two members of the band, whereas AbA was formed in three parts. First Troy Silvers, following hand surgery, called up Barry Paul, star solo artist and former lead guitar god of too many bands to list here, to say that, after years out of music, he wanted back in. Second, a chance meeting between Barry Paul and Swann at SummerJam06. Third, After Troy and Barry Paul put together the first rough draft of songs, Feather heard the songs Barry, Swann, and Troy wanted to do and joined right up! Only to leave shortly there after to be replaced by Dave T.. As of now, AbA consists of Swann on the kit, Troy Silvers hammerin' the rhythm guitar, and sinister front man Barry Paul himself, cussin' it and playin' it like no other on the g-tar! And also, of coarse, our bass player to be named later, Dave. The songs on this page are just simple practice recordings. There'll be better one's put up as soon as they are available.

AbA mostly plays covers but is working on originals, as I mentioned above. Bands covered include Weezer, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, Tom Petty, Peter Gabriel, Van Halen, Alice n Chains, Neil Young, and George Thorogood.
